The Clown Rasbora, Rasbora Kalochroma, is a great looking looking species of rasbora found in Malaysia, Borneo and Sumatra. Fully grown they can reach 10cm.
Clown Rasbora are a very peaceful shoaling species that does best in large groups, and with other similar natured species. Although gentle, a full-grown adult may be able to eat very tiny fish and fry.
These fish are not fussy when it comes to décor, but heavily planted tanks and dark substrate really compliment their colours and will bring out their full potential. Clown Rasbora also look fantastic in black water tanks, with the tannins from wood and Catappa leaves enhancing the beautiful reds and oranges of their colouration.
Clown Rasbora require stable perimeters, with a pH of 6.5-7.5 tending to suit them best.
They are an unfussy feeder and will enthusiastically accept most foods. Insect based dried foods, flakes, and granules plus the addition of frozen food enriched with vitamins and garlic will ensure good health and fantastic colours.
Here at the Abyss Aquatic Warehouse, we believe in only providing the best for our customers. All of our fish are fed a varied diet of dried and frozen foods. Also, we ensure they are in perfect condition before they are shipped out.
