They are a member of the Characidae family and are native to South America. Glowlight Tetras are active schooling fish that do well in groups of 6 or more and prefer a well-planted aquarium with plenty of hiding spots. They are relatively easy to care for and suitable for beginner fish keepers. They can be fed a variety of prepared and live foods, and require a slightly acidic to neutral water with a temperature range of 75 to 82°F (24 to 28°C). In the wild, they are found in slow-moving streams and shallow ponds. In captivity, they make a great addition to any community aquarium and are sure to add a vibrant burst of color to your tank.Appearance: Glowlight Tetras have a bright, fiery orange-red color on the front half of their body, with a band of silver-white on the back half. They have a black “v” shaped marking on their tail and a neon blue stripe running from their eye to their adipose fin. They are relatively small, growing to a maximum size of around 1.5 inches (3.8 cm) in length.
Glowlight Tetra Behavior:
Glowlight Tetras are active, schooling fish that do best in groups of 6 or more. They are generally peaceful and do well with other small, non-aggressive fish. They are mid-level swimmers and prefer to have plenty of hiding spots among plants and decorations.
Glowlight Tetra Diet:
In the wild, Glowlight Tetras are omnivorous and feed on a variety of foods, including small invertebrates and plant matter. In captivity, they will readily accept a range of prepared foods, including flakes, pellets, and frozen foods such as brine shrimp, daphnia, and bloodworms. They also enjoy live or frozen daphnia and small insects such as fruit flies.
Water conditions:
Glowlight Tetras prefer slightly acidic to neutral water, with a pH range of 6.0 to 7.5. They prefer a temperature range of 75 to 82°F (24 to 28°C) and can tolerate a range of KH levels, but they prefer soft to slightly hard water with a KH range of 1 to 10 dKH.
Glowlight Breeding:
Glowlight Tetras are egg layers and are relatively easy to breed in captivity. Breeding requires a separate breeding tank with soft, slightly acidic water and plenty of plants for the female to deposit her eggs on. After spawning, the parents should be removed from the breeding tank to prevent them from eating the eggs.
Summary: Glowlight Tetras are a popular, colorful, and active fish that are relatively easy to care for and suitable for beginner fish keepers. They are peaceful and do well in groups, and can be fed a variety of prepared and live foods. They require a slightly acidic to neutral water with plenty of hiding spots and plants.

Good quality fish, a little pale for a couple of days ,but they have really coloured up well now and are very attractive. Usually seen shoaling, sometimes with my harlequins. Should have bought more.
