Tangs beautiful tropical marine fish

The fish group known as tangs or surgeonfish contains some of the most immediately recognisable saltwater fish with the exception of clownfish.

The are distributed all over tropical oceans and seas and display some fantastic colours and patterns. The fish are quite interesting and generally very easy to keep as long as they are fit and healthy when you buy them. As with all marine fish insist that you see the tangfish feeding before you buy. If you are buying online you can trust that we will do this for you. Feeding should be with gusto a fish that picks at the odd brine shrimp would not be considered  feeding by us. All our saltwater tangs are feeding on dry food such as flake or pellet before we let them go. They are also fed with frozen foods but it is important that the frozen food has vitamins added to it.

Tangs for home marine aquarium

Most tangs grow to a large size so make sure that the aquarium you have is suitable. Tangfish require clean well filtered and highly oxygenated water, feel free to ask for advice.
