Gold Laser Corydora, Corydoras CW010, is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful species of corys to be found. They are a relatively newly discovered species from Peru, and there is some debate as to whether they are yet another colour morph of the Corydoras Aeneus. Scientists have yet to determine one way or another as to which species it actually is. Most specimens found in the hobby are likely to be captive bred.
The Gold Laser Cory is a truly striking species; The gold stripe starts at the head, ending at the peduncle. They have dark flanks and a pale underbelly, making this one of the most colourful of corydora.
Gold Laser Corydora are generally an easy fish to care for, providing basic needs are met. They do best on a fine substrate, either sand or micro gravel. Corydoras will root around in substrate looking for food, so sharp substrates can damage the barbels at the front of their mouths. Other décor is largely down to personal taste. Areas of cover will provide security, resulting in more outgoing and active fish.
Corydoras thrive best in clean water with stable parameters, and a pH of between 6.5-7.2 is ideal.
Gold Laser Corydora are not the easiest to sex, especially when young. Females tend to be bigger and are rounder and broader-bodied than males, which stay smaller and slimmer. If wanting to breed corydoras, a ratio of one female to every two males is ideal. Corydora are a shoaling catfish, and thrive best in groups of 5 or more.
Gold Laser Corydora feeding requirements
Gold Laser Corydora, are omnivorous in diet and will eagerly accept dried, frozen, and live foods. A good quality protein-based tablet or granule is ideal as a staple diet, supplemented with frozen food enriched with garlic and vitamins. This will ensure good health and vibrant colours. Live food, especially tubifex and bloodworm always goes down well too!
Here at the Abyss Aquatic Warehouse we believe in only providing the best for our customers. All of our fish are fed a varied diet of dried and frozen foods. Also, we ensure they are in perfect condition before they are shipped out.

Lovely little fish. Settled really well into my tank and having a good shuffle around in the sand which is exactly what I wanted them for, apart from their laser stripe obviously. Looking forward to them growing up and showing even more stunning colour.
